How to Pause Campaign Communications During an Emergency

Option 1: State Emergency Toggle

Use this when there is an emergency affecting a specific state or region where your leads are located and you need to stop all outbound communications immediately.

What it does

Activating the State Emergency toggle stops all Meera-initiated communications for the selected state right away. This includes start prompts, follow-up messages, scheduled reminders, and calls.

Any calls that were already scheduled during the period the State Emergency is active will be cancelled and the leads will receive a call cancellation notification. Meera will still respond to any lead that reaches out first.

Please note: this applies only to the state or states where the emergency is activated. All other states will continue to receive communications as per your campaign business hours settings

 

Option 2: Holiday Module

Use this when the disruption is on your end. For example, your agents are unavailable, there is a power outage, or your office is closed unexpectedly. 

What it does

This option will cancel all scheduled calls and notify the affected leads. All outbound communications will stop, including initial and follow-up messages. Meera will still respond if a lead reaches out with questions or would like to schedule a call for a future date.

Option 3: Turn Off Campaign via Business Hours Settings

Use this when you need to stop all campaign activity entirely

What it does

Turning off the campaign via Business Hours Settings will stop all activity completely — no outbound messages will go out, and Meera will not respond even if a lead reaches out first. Keep in mind that any calls already scheduled will not be automatically cancelled and leads will not receive a cancellation notification. If you have multiple campaigns, this change needs to be applied to each campaign individually.
