Setting Up Your Holiday Calendar & What to Expect

Before You Start

You will need Admin, Sub Admin, or Content Manager permissions to manage holidays.

The Holiday Module allows you to manage holidays at the account level, ensuring your campaigns are automatically paused on the right dates. You can add holidays the following ways: 

  1. Manually

  2. Import them in bulk via CSV

     

What Happens During a Holiday?

When a holiday is active on your account, the following applies to your campaigns:

  • Start prompts and follow-up messages are paused for the duration of the holiday.
  • Scheduled calls are rescheduled to the next available date, and a holiday message is sent to the lead.
  • Scheduled reminders continue to work as normal.
  • If a lead requests a call during an active holiday, the call is rescheduled to the next available date and a holiday message is sent. 
  • If a lead messages in during an active holiday, leads will receive your holiday message script. The Meera assistant will still be available to answer any questions they may have.
  • Holiday notifications are automatically sent to leads via email or SMS 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before an upcoming holiday.

Once the holiday has passed, all campaign activity resumes as normal.

Best Practices for Uploading your CSV file 

  • Use the correct date format — make sure all dates are entered in YYYY/MM/DD format. Incorrect formatting will cause the upload to fail.
  • Future dates only — only upcoming holidays are accepted. Past dates will be rejected during upload.
  • Full day vs. partial day — if the holiday applies to the entire day, use 0:00:00 as the start time and 23:59:59 as the end time. For partial day closures, enter the exact hours your office is closed.
  • Use clear holiday names — enter descriptive names that will make sense to your team and to leads (for example, "Christmas Day" rather than "Holiday 1").
  • Check for duplicates — avoid adding holidays that already exist in your account to prevent duplicate entries.
  • Review before uploading — double-check your file for any missing fields, incorrect formats, or typos before clicking Upload.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to add holidays to each campaign separately?

No, when adding a holiday, you can choose to apply it to all campaigns or select a specific campaign it applies to. 

What happens if I add a holiday on a date that already has calls scheduled?

The system will notify you when scheduled calls exist on the selected date. You can click View to review those calls and make any necessary adjustments before confirming the holiday.

Can I add past dates?

No, only future dates are accepted. Past dates cannot be selected via the calendar and will be rejected during a CSV upload.

What file formats are supported for bulk import?

CSV files with UTF-8 encoding and Excel files in .xlsx format are both supported.

What happens if my country's holidays are updated after my account is set up?

Updates to country-level holidays do not automatically sync to existing accounts. Use the Sync Country Holidays feature to pull in any new or updated national holidays.
