Campaign Pre-launch Testing: How to Reset, Delete, or Add New Test Leads

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to reset, delete, or add a lead within your Meera campaign.

Testing your Meera campaigns before launch? You'll need to manage your test leads effectively to get accurate results. Meera gives you three ways to handle your test leads: reset, delete, or upload a lead with a new number. Let's break down each option and when you might want to use it.

1. Reset a Lead

What it does:
Resets the status of a lead so it can go through the campaign again from the beginning.

When to use it:

  • When you want to test the same lead multiple times

  • If a lead went through the campaign but you made changes and want to restart their journey

  • When verifying updated messaging or campaign logic

Note: Resetting a lead won’t remove their data — it just brings them back to step one in your workflow.

Here's how to do it on your campaign:

  • Log in to Meera.
  • From the left-hand menu, navigate to Campaigns.
  • Locate the campaign you’d like to view and click the eye icon under the Action column.

  • Click on the phone number of the test lead you want to reset.
    • (See example below)

  • Under the lead details, click Reset Lead.
    • (See example below)



  • Once the lead has been reset, click on Start Prompt under Send SMS to trigger the campaign flow again.

2. Delete a Lead

What it does:
Permanently removes the lead from the system.

When to use it:

  • If you’ve uploaded test data you no longer need

  • To clean up your list before launching a live campaign

  • When a lead has incorrect or outdated information and you don’t want to keep their record

Important: Once deleted, the lead’s data is removed and cannot be recovered.

Here's how to do it on your campaign:

  • Log in to Meera.
  • From the left-hand menu, navigate to Campaigns.
  • Locate the campaign you’d like to view and click the eye icon under the Action column.

  • Click on the phone number of the test lead you want to reset and click on the bin symbol to delete the lead.

  • There's also another way to delete a lead. Click on Filter and type the number under User Mobile. Then, click Submit to find a lead.

3. Upload a Lead with a New Number

What it does:
Adds a new lead with a different phone number (even if the name or other data is the same).

When to use it:

  • If you want to simulate a new contact’s experience

  • To test how different inputs (e.g., location, time zone, or message variation) affect the journey

  • When your test lead has already gone through the campaign and resetting is not preferred
