Getting Started with Your Meera Campaign Knowledge Base
Why Build Your Knowledge Base?
Your knowledge base is the foundation of your Meera bot. It contains all the information your bot will use to provide accurate, relevant responses to your leads — think of it as training your virtual employee with your company's expertise, policies, and best practices.
This article walks you through how to upload content into your knowledge base and explains what additional customizations the Meera team can set up for you, including sensitive information scripts, rebuttals, and FAQs. It also covers how to test your bot before your campaign goes live.
There are three options for uploading content into your knowledge base:
- Website URL — the bot can reference your entire website or you can provide specific page URLs you want it to pull from
- Document upload — upload your training materials, FAQs, product guides, or any relevant documents
- Manual text entry — type or paste content directly into the knowledge base

Sensitive Information Scripts
Why Set Up Sensitive Information Scripts?
Some topics require a very specific, controlled response — especially in regulated or compliance-driven industries. Sensitive information scripts let you define exactly what the bot says when these topics come up, protecting your brand and ensuring your responses are always accurate and appropriate.
You write the response, and the bot delivers it exactly as written every time.
Examples of when to use this:
- A lead asks whether the school guarantees job placement after graduation
- A lead asks about their rights regarding the privacy of their student records
- A lead asks what to do if they experience or witness sexual misconduct or harassment
Rebuttals
Why Prepare Rebuttals?
Rebuttals help your bot handle common objections professionally and persuasively. Instead of losing a potential lead to a concern that could have been addressed, your bot responds confidently and keeps the conversation moving.
You write the response, and the bot delivers it exactly as written every time.
Examples of when to use this:
- A lead says the program is too expensive
- A lead says it does not fit into their schedule
General FAQs
Why Prepare General FAQs?
General FAQs help your bot answer common questions and concerns professionally and persuasively. Instead of losing potential leads to common concerns, your bot can address them confidently — turning hesitation into interest and improving your conversion rates.
Test Your Campaign
Once you have uploaded your content to knowledge base, you can navigate to the Test section and click Send Start Prompt to begin. From there, ask any questions to see how the bot responds and confirm it is pulling the right information.
Things to Keep in Mind
- If a lead asks something that is not covered in your uploaded content, the bot will not guess. Instead it will redirect the lead to speak with an agent — for example, it may say something like "I'm just a coordinator, it's best if I connect you with an agent to help answer this question. Is now a good time for a call?"
- You can upload multiple sources to give the bot a broader base of information.
- If your content changes, make sure to update your uploads so the bot stays accurate.
